i am more than thankful for hockey..it has become a way of life for so many peole, including me. Not only does it help to keep you in great shape, but you also make new friends. I know here in this part of the u.s., there arent many girls that play hockey, let alone hockey at all! so when peole ask me what i play, and i say hockey, it makes me feel unique, just as every hockey player should feel. Pretty much anyone can say they play soccer..but when you say you play or are interested in hockey, it probably means ur priveledged, and your smart enough to see that hockey really is THE best sport EVER!!!!!!!! Plus, it just helps to keep my mind off things, and now i know what i want to do or work around in life (hockey). Also its a great topic to have arguements over whther your at a game sitting next to the opposing teams fan or your just talking about whose the better player Crosby or Ovechkin? lol i know that question is old..but all im trying to say is HOCKEY ROCKS AND IT BEATS THE REST!!!!!!

I am truly thankful for hockey, for all of the excellent reasons stated above by the other hockey fans! GO FLAMES!!
How a game is called boring where the puck and the action is so fast you can't keep up, is a very contradictory statement. If you are actually trying to closely follow the puck at all times, you will miss a lot of the game that going on all over the ice.

Am I thankful for hockey? In a word YES. In my opinion hockey is the best sport in the world (followed closely by football). Hockey is a physical demanding game of non-stop action. Hockey has the bone crushing intensity of football, it has the hand eye coordination of baseball, and it forces you to think and plan out moves like basketball. Plus to boot you have to do it all on a sheet of ice. What could be better than that? :-)

You bet! I love hockey and especially the Flames. Its great to have some passion for the game makes life more fun. Guys like it when you can talk hockey with them too. It kind of surprises them. What is better than Hockey Night in Canada every Sat. Think of the money we are saving by staying home watching our teams playing instead of going out and spending money. Plus, unlike football it is easy to understand and fast moving. Football, bores me to tear.

I've been playing hockey for the last three years, and it has been a blessing. Two to three times a week, I will play a pick up game with friends and it is just a fantastic sport. It keeps us all social, it gives us a chance to workout, and it gives us a challenge - every shift, every week. Hockey is a great team sport, and I am glad to wear that sweater every chance I get.

I love to play and watch. Over the years of all the things that have happened, hockey has been the one consistent that has always been there. I love the fellowship I get with playing on a team and hanging out at the rink.

I am very thankful for hockey, but not so much for the NHL. (I still watch NHL games.) I've played it, watched it, and listened to it since the early 1980's.
I can understand, however, how it's hard to follow where the puck is on TV.
I could live with ties instead of "overtime" or "shootout" losses, where teams "earn" a point. Er, isn't that what occurred in the "evil tie" days?

I'm thankful for hockey. I play it at school. I really enjoy it and it keeps me fit. Lots of my friends also play so that makes it even the more better. When I watched on of the matches on TV (can't remember which one) but I learnt quite alot.

To all those who think it's boring because you can't follow the puck: Get your eyes checked.
I'm thankful for hockey for so many reasons. One of them is for keeping me sane. I'd be completely nuts years ago if it wasn't for hockey.
