I never forget to stretch, and I've been playing for a few weeks now so I should be used to it by now. I am a very active person. So why do I keep getting so sore?

When I say I've been playing for a few weeks, I mean this season. I've been playing for years.

Do you warm down after the match? One of the things Arsene Wenger introduced to Arsenal was the idea of warming down after the match. A gentle jog to bring the muscles down gradually from extreme exertion to not being used instead stopping suddenly.

I'd say it's more likely your muscles repairing after being used so much. A few weeks isn't enough to get to peak fitness, heck I remember being a postman and coming back to work after a holiday, it would take 3 weeks for my feet to stop stinging. Give it time.

I play 3 sports a year. Getting sore is inevitable in playing sports, practicing everyday. Apparantly, the whole lactic acid thing causing muscle soreness is not necessarily true. Short of taking ibu prefen everyday, which is not healthy at all, just sretch before and after practice. If you are working hard you will always get some soreness.

You need more potassium. Eat a banana each day, the soreness will go away usually in 1 to 3 days.
