We were NOT defeated in viet nam. thats rediculous. we were not able to nuke them so were limited to helping them to help themselves. We could have bombed h-ll out of the chinese had we wanted to start world war 3. Don't tell me i fought over there for nothing!

People will argue that the US won the Vietnam War.... We lost. Not on the battlefield, but on the television set.
We entered the war for all the wrong reasons. Watch Frmr General Westmorland's documentary called the FOG OF WAR. The irony is that every mistake and mess-up from that fiasco is being repeated in the prosecutions of Afghanistan and Iraq.
Side note: Afghanistan did not beat the US, and the US has not yet won the war in Iraq.

Afghanistan, of course! It has unbeaten record of defeating all foreign invaders including mighty USSR (Which it reduced to pieces ) and so called Great Britain where all of its army was killed leaving only one doctor alive to carry the glad tidings to the Queen.
