I think Florida has a lot. Here's a little secret: there's no such thing as a teach shortage problem, there's a teacher retention problem. The problem is so many teachers quit after a couple of years school districts are always saying we need more teachers. You had better love it. I subed for a while. I would suggest doing that for a while to get your foot in the door.

The Midwestern States are always looking for teachers. The best way to get a job in teaching is to Substitute and get to know the principals and supervisors.

The most available teaching jobs are in inner city schools, or if you teach special education, or secondary level math or science.

They are in small schools especially private schools
