Because believe it or not that is life. We will lose people we love and friends but that is the way it is..We keep asking ourselves why did they have to leave or why did it have to happen...But that is not a question that we can and should even try to answer because the only one that really knows the answer to that question is God himself. That is what makes us human to feel the loss this is also what makes us mature and grow with life in general...we have to go through the suffering to gain the happiness later on down the line. If you don't believe me read Galatians (all of it) and see what I am talking about.

These bodies are temporary constructions. Everything that is temporary will cease. No one has a body that will eventually not break down & stop. The older I get, the more people I knew who are now dead. Also pets. Someday I will die. Someday everyone I know will die. There is nothing anyone can do to change this process.
Your question springs from a wish for things to be otherwise.
The literal answer to your question is that it does not matter how much we want or don't want something to happen; if the causes that brought the thing or person into existence are finished, there is nothing to be done.
I know it can be very difficult, but please try to think for a moment; how long has this been going on? Modern humans have been losing their parents, siblings, children, friends, etc. to death for over 200,000 years. There are 6.55 billion people on the planet right now; at every stage of sickness & health with every disease that exists; today, how many hundred thousands of them will die today? All of them have friends, all of them have some family. Maybe one of them will be me. Impossible to know. Every day there are thousands of people who die from accidents, battles, snipers, drownings, poisonings, all manner of sudden deaths. Many of them are young people. No one ever knows - that's a quality of reality that we either live with or try to hide from.
If we live with it, what does it mean for how we live whatever time we have? That's for you to answer, my friend.
Think about it.
;-)

I am sorry for your loss. I know how much it hurts to lose somebody that you love. You will have a date in time when your time is up and loved ones will miss you as well. That is the cycle of life. There are newborns that come everyday. Unfortunately on the other side people leave us as well which is always sad.Ask your maker to help you to understand and say a prayer for your missing loved one.

Well like it or not - we were put on this earth to die - the minute we are born-we start dying....
It's a very immature question - maybe when you grow-up you'll see that everyone dies sooner or later...of course everyone has lost a loved one at some time in their life.

Remember that whenever we lose loved ones, new loved ones come into our life.

Because we are finite beings. Because the world is cold, heartless, cruel, we miss them more. If we seek out where life proceeds from, it is, to put it mildly getting back manifold. I hope this helps.
