my best friend in school got married , and his wife wanted to cook her first thanksgiving(both of their parents didn't like each other) my parents where out of town. She made a really nice looking meal, but she didnot pull out the gibets bag.

When I moved in with my exgirlfriend, she invited her and my whole families, so she bought the biggest turkey she could find. That morning I get awakened to her crying the bird is to big for the oven. I looked and sure enough to big. So I fired up the grill out side and cooked it outside. It came uot okay.

These are my own family experiences. Growing up my Mom was a really good cook, but I think she must have gotten alittle nervous at Thanksgiving. She made a fruitcake, boiled it, with lots of fruit and cinnamon, raisins, and it always came out moist and delicious.

This one Thanksgiving no knife in the house would cut it! I mean this is a cake that can make a whole house smell just wonderful! With brandy simmering in it. Yumm! But this time she couldn't cut it.

We tried a few knives. Went back to the kitchen after more. Than the big carving knives.

Finally the electric knife just barely did it!

My husband and i, when we were just married, stuffed our turkey. We said, We've got alot left over. What if we tucked it under the skin.

Later, as it cooked, we kept hearing loud noises, sounded like a fart machine! We combed the whole house trying to find the culprit.

I said, "That's funny. Seems to be coming from the oven? We opened the oven. And it was going like a bellows right in front of us!

Last year my brother invited me and my husband to his house for Thanksgiving dinner, he talked for weeks about how this was going to be my best Thanksgiving ever. told me to just bring some wine, so when we get there it din't smell like Thanksgiving but hey, so we sit down for dinner and he comes out with a BIG *** BOWL OF SPAGHETTI and a SALAD oh yes and BREAD. and later we had the birthday cake that i gave him two weeks ago. ( at least we had a good bottle of wine) . so this year i said nobody will cook but me.lol

Okay, here goes. One year,my sister in law,Debbie was going to cook the turkey for the first time. She and my mom had defrosted the turkey and were going to stuff it. She found the giblets inside the turkey and opened the paper towel . She was holding the neck and asked ,"What's this"? I answered,"That's the turkey's ...you know". Her eyes got big and said <"It's so big". I said,"Now you know why it goes,Gobble,Gobble,Gobble".
My mom came up behind me and whacked me on the back of my head with a wooden spoon and told Debbie not to be listening to this "pen-deh-hoe".
