Edward George Farhat (June 7, 1924 – January 18, 2003) was a professional wrestler best known as The Sheik (or The Original Sheik to distinguish him from the wrestler the Iron Sheik of the 1980s). He was the owner and operator of Big Time Wrestling, one of the most successful promotions during the 1960s. He is also one of the originators of what would eventually become the Hardcore wrestling style. He is also the uncle of Sabu.

Sabu is the nephew of the Original Sheik, not the Iron Sheik of the 1980's in the WWF (now the WWE). Also, the Original Sheik was one of the originators of hardcore wrestling. I hope that answers your question.

not the Iron Sheik, simply called the Sheik, or the Original Sheik to clarify between the uncle of Sabu, and Iron Sheik, and the fleet of sheiks in the AWA in the early 80's
