What is the name of the back-up goaltender that played in the 2005/06 season? Do you remember what team they were playing when this goaltender skated down to the opposing goaltender to give him a slug when a fight broke out at that end. It was so cool. I was so disappointed that the Kipper wasn't playing until I seen this guy slug the opposing goaltender. Have you ever seen a goalie do that before? I haven't it was the best slug in hockey.

Brian Boucher was with the Flames for about half the season I believe. That's probally who you're thinking about. If goalie fights are what you're looking for you need to youtube the Ron Hextall, Patrick Roy fight. It was a classic.

Boucher it was! Don't forget the other ex-flame goalie brawler...Mike Vernon (as a Red Wing) battled Roy (and won in my opinion) back when there was that whole cheap shot by Claude Lemieux on Kris Draper. I think everyone and their kid was involved in that one. Well, except maybe for Fedorov (his contract wasn't up - therefore no need to do anything more than he had to).

I don't recall the incident you mentioned, but Brian Boucher and Philippe Sauve both backed up Kiprusoff last year.

the goalie in question was suave, which led to his demise and was traded to phx for brian boucher, which was dissapointing, since i felt that boucher should have done well in calgary. HOwever they did get Jamie Mclenan back this year and thats fine by me.

It wasn't Brian Boucher. I believe it was Phillip Suave.
