yes there are surgical and non surgical abortions. The non surgical abortion consists of taking a couple pills to make you dilate and then you have to insert a pilll into your vagina which then makes you start to contract which then leads to the abortion. Obviously this is less invasive than a surgical abortion and it's just like having a miscarriage. THis is usually only performed when you are very early, like before 8 weeks. Yes there is the morning after pill but that is not the abortion pill, it is only for prevention so everyone that answered you question saying that the morning after pill is it they are mis informed.

Heres a area under for extra techniques. EDIT:: THE MORNING AFTER pill isn't AN ABORTION pill. .. its thoroughly distinctive.

There is a "morning after pill" you can get from a pharmacy, you have to be 18 to purchase it though. Otherwise, you would need a prescription from a doctor for the pill. It is called Plan B, and has to be taken within about 72 hours from the time of unprotected sex.

There is a "morning after" pill for when you have had unprotected sex and there would be a possibility of pregnancy.. perhaps this is what the individual is talking about.
