I asked for help from a teacher. 2 weeks ago, I went into his room to schedule a session where he can tutor me. We decided wednesday after school last week. I went in and he told me that he was busy and FORGOT that he had 2 meetings that day after school. We rescheduled for today after school. I went in to his class today and he said he can not do it today or for the rest of the trimester. Now that it ends the end of the trimester, and I don't know how to do my homework, I am failing the class, and am stressed out. We have 3 days left to get in all of our work. This is the only class that I have ever failed. I get over 100% in most of my classes and geometry is the only class that I don't understand. Are the exscuses he made good ones, and why do teachers get away with everything. What can I do if it is not right. Should I have to suffer because my teacher is dumb.

The second time that he cancelled the tutor session was because he FORGOT that he had to do wrestling. He keeps on forgetting.

It's very common for otherwise "successful" students to have a difficult time with Geometry. It requires you to look at things a little differently than normal. I was lucky, and it clicked for me.
In your situation, since you had prearranged all these meetings, I would go to talk to the principle, superintendent, or a maybe even a member of the school board. Of course, which one kind of depends on how big your school is. The smaller the school, the higher up I would go, but in a large school, it might be a bit extreme to go straight to the superintendent.
GOOD LUCK!!! I know how much it sucks when people in charge of your grade aren't doing their job. There are some really great teachers, but there are a whole lot of bad ones, too.

I guess you're in HS. Have you spoken to your guidance councilor about this? How about your parents? Is there anyone in the class that you are friendly with that can maybe help you out? Teachers are supposed to be there to help out when a student is having a hard time, this teacher sounds like he's either in it for the summers and vacations off or just doesn't care anymore about the real purpose of the job. If I was ANY good in math I would offer to help you out. My heart goes out to you.

I guess Grey's never done extra work or gotten bonus questions correct on tests. Yes it is possible to get over 100%, though the grade will only be reflected as 100% on report cards, from what I remember.

First, have you talked to your parents about this? If you really did make these arrangements ahead of time, he should abide by them. I don't know about your school, but in my school it is part of my contract to assist students after school. Now, I'm not required to do it everyday, but if a student needs extra help, I'm obligated to provide it within reason. What you have described is within reason, as long as you have been on task during the class. If I have students that are busy writing notes, talking, sleeping, or otherwise not following along, then it is not my job to reteach to them on my time.
I hope it all works out for you.

you need to speak to the teacher, and ask for an extension, state the reason (ie, i spoke to you asking for help, statingthat i did not understand the homework, and help was denied. could i please get a extension and a tutor?) if he ignores this too, the best idea is to take it to another teacher in the department, ask them to tutor you, and ask the office to get an extension to have the grade turned in. they can also speak to him about it. he may just be ignorant and unwilling to help. your failing would be his fault, and he would be obligated to help you to pass the class and not retake it because the mistake was on his part.

You shouldn't suffer, the teacher should for being forgetful. His excuses sound like they are not true . I would go speak to the counselor about this problem.

Go talk to your counselor. He or she can help you hook up with someone to help with tutoring. It doesn't have to be your teacher, perhaps another student or students you can get together with for some help.

i think u should speak up and dont just stick with that teacher. go find someone smart to help you out. someone who is honest and trustworthy. and if u do fail, even though the people around you dont know what you've gone through, just know that you know the real thing.
(most important: forgive)

go to your principal and reveal this jerk who claims to be a teacher. If that doesn't work, go to the school board and ask for an investigation!

Dude....Go to the principle. That isn't right or suck it up and hire a tutor. Either way I wish you the best of luck.

Sounds like you should brush up on math, too.
