I will be traveling to Egypt in a year or so to get married to my fiance in Cairo. I am an American citizen, and he is Egyptian. We don't have a clue how to get him a Visa to travel back to the U.S. with me, once we are officially married. And we are both very limited in our finances. Neither of us have a clue what to do to prepare for this life-changing occasion. Can he even come here once we are married? Someone please help! We are in love, and don't know what to do! please help.

You will need to file the petition for Alien fiance (form I-129F i think) to get him over here and the to get him permanent residency you will need to file the I-485. You can go to www.bcis.gov to check out the forms on-line and you should be able to see how much it will cost and also what documentation you will need to have. It will be expensive!!! Also if he wants to work while he's here thats another form with another fee beyond these forms. Make sure everything is correct and complete or your application will take longer to process or you may have to re-file (with aditional fees) and the delay means you may have to renew other things meaning more additional fees. Good luck!

It won't be easy, you will have to fill out the proper paperwork and even then it will take a long, long time. I know someone that had to have a sponser and that sponser had to promise to support the immigrant for 3 years in the event he couldn't work. That sponser had to hand over his tax info for the last 5 years and a bunch more paperwork. It was a nightmare, but after about a year or more that person was allowed to enter the US. That person was in Jordan and was a Jordan citizen. Just know it won't be easy.
And.......... just to tell you, life between an arab and american is way too different, love isn't enough to get you through 50 years of culture differences unless you are willing to totally abandon who you are and what you think.

You need to put in for a K-1 fiancee visa. You do not need to get a lawyer/or go through any of those places that say they will help.
If you get married over there it will be harder to bring him here.
Go on the website uscis.gov. It will take about 8-10 months to go through the process. Be ready to give all your personal and financial info and his to uscis. You do have to meet certain income/financial requirements. You will be responsible in taking care of your fiancee gets because the US will not let him legally work for almost 1 year. You have a few months to get married once he/she gets here or your fiancee will have to go back. Once the fiancee gets here you'll have to go to immigration and do biometrics. Good Luck

The best way is for him to visit you in the US and then get married here. Hopefully you both love each other and that he is not just using you to get into the US. Once here you need to go a lawyer and have all the legal documentations in order. Good luck.

And you met him online and he promised to love you forever and ever if you brought him to the USA?

Am I Eligible?

If you are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, you may apply to bring a husband or wife to live and work permanently in the United States. As the sponsor of your spouse, you must show that your household income is sufficient to support your family at 125% or more above the U.S. poverty level for your household size. For more details about meeting this income requirement, see Filing an Affidavit of Support for a Relative.

Good luck getting it done before the wedding...my neighbor has been trying to get papers for her now husband and father of her twins for over 3 years...and he is coming from ENGLAND. You had better call immigration and get the ball rolling now or you will be in a world of hurt and living on two different continents...like they are! One of his biggest problems is involved with employment...he has a job in the UK...can't find one here! They have a lawyer helping them....
