My dad says I can't have a BF until I'm 19.

because its hard
for a grown women to figure out men/ boys
than how can a young girl do it
there r trying 2 keep u from guys like they were or like there friends

I think your Dad is living back in the good ole days, cos he is in for a rude awakening to say the least.
Whilst he is trying to protect you from the **Bad Boys** he has to also realise that you have to grow up.
If you have good family values then he should at least trust you to go out with boys , even if with others in group.
Maybe if you display to him of your maturity to understand that sex is taboo until you reach an age where you fully understand the ramifications of unwanted pregnancies STD's etc that he then might weaken and trust you to have a BF,
But hey why not just have fun growing up without the emotional ties of BF....don't be in a hurry to get old...â¥

Studies have shown that girls who have boyfriends too early do more poorly in school, are more likely to engage in self-desctructive bahavior, and are more likely to be involved in abusive relationships. But even without these studies, many cultures have independently come to the same conclusion. A person needs to develop a strong sense of self before getting into a relationship, otherwise you risk the danger of stunting the development of your own personality.

Your dad knows what he did when he was 16. And so do I. That's why he won't allow you to have friends of the opposite sex. It's for a good reason, don't doubt him. You've got no rights until you're 18 and paying your own way.

Maybe your dad loves you and wants you to achieve more in life than continuous boyfriends who will only end up hurting you. from experience i wish i had waited a bit longer before i started dating and man i was only 17 so just do all that you can accomplish first.

Parents love their kids, generally speaking, and they want to protect them, especially with girls, with all the "crazies" out there, they worry. Once you have children, you'll understand. Right now you probably think they hate you and they don't want you to have a life. I assure you, as a parent, that is not the case.

I'm about eight years younger and my mom lets me have a bf. But your parents just care about you. They want you to wait untill FULL maturity

Your dad was a teen boy once. He knows what kind of monsters they are. At your age, you need to think about life and where you are going in it, not boys.

no you should graduate because most 13 year old get pragnet and some people cant take it when they brake up that they commit suiside and some and its young and they would date to long
