- open your browser (if you're using Internet Explorer)
- click on Tools - then Internet Options
this will bring up a small window (called Internet Properties - which you can see at the top left of that window)

- make sure the General tab is up (or click on it)
you'll see Clear History button - click on that

while you're in there you should clean out your cookies and temp files -
here is a step by step instructions to clear your browser cache (for Internet Explorer):

General tab - you'll see a section about mid way down called - Temporary Internet files -

- click on the Delete Cookies button (a small window will pop up - click OK - then that small window will disappear)
- next - click on Delete Files (a small window will pop up - put a check mark in the box next to - Delete all offline content - then click OK - this window will disappear)
next - click on Delete files (again) this small window pops up again - click OK (that small window disappears)

next - in the History section (of this same Internet Properties - General tab window about 2/3 way down you'll see History)

- click on the Clear History button (a long window will pop up asking "Are you sure you want Windows to delete your history of visited websites?" - click Yes - (this window will then disappear)

you might want to change the number (if you want) to a lower number of days to "clear history"

once all that is done - click on the OK button at the bottom of the Internet Properties window

(note - if you haven't cleared your browser cache in a while it may take more than a few seconds for each of those steps - you will notice when you click each OK button your mouse arrow turns to an arrow with an hour glass - this is telling you it's in process of doing the task you just asked it to do - once it turns back to a regular arrow you can then move on to your next step)

From your internet browser window, click on tools menu item, then Internet Options, look for the History block towards the bottom of the popup window, change the "Days to Keep pages in History" to 0 (zero) then click on the Clear History button. This may take a few minutes if you have a LOT of history. :-) Hope this helps. a1ibddd.

I hate that so much too! Im sorry to say, that unless you have a mac where you can just click clear all, that you have to do the horrible constant clicking. it can go a little faster if you delete the folders instead of the pages though.

Sure go to tools and Internet options and clear history ... you can even set it so that you do not keep any history or it deletes itself when you shut down for the night...
