My husband and I, along with our two young children, have moved into my parents' home to save money for our own home; this is naturally creating some stress for us. I need some ideas for bringing back that "spark" despite the close quarters and lack of much privacy.

OUR SON AND HIS WIFE AND SON LIVE WITH US SO HE CAN FINSH COLLEGE THAT ALONG THING IS A TWO WAY STREET WE ARE VERY HONEST WITH EACH OTHER IF WE WANT THE HOUSE ALONE WE WILL GIVE THEM MONEY TO GO OUT AND IF THEY WANT TO HAVE THE HOUSE WE OFFER TO TAKE OUR GRANDSON TO THE MAIL OR SHOW MY HUSBAND AND I TRY TO TAKE WEEKEND TRIPS TO GIVE THEM AND US PRIVATE TIME IT TAKES SOME WORK BUT IT CAN BE DONE FOR OUR 28TH ANN I GOT MY SON TO MAKE A CD OF MUSIC FORM OUR WEDDING AND OUR 25TH RENEWAIL SERVICE HE THOUGHT HED BE CUTE AND ADD "LETS GET IT ON " BY BARRY WHITE AS WE SAT AT THE TABLE ALONE FOR OUR CANDLE LIGHT DINNER HE AND HIS WIFE HAD WENT TO THEIR ROOM TO WATCH A MOVIE WHEN THEY HEARD THE SON LETS GET IT ON THEY YELLED OUT HAPPY ANNIVERSARY IT WAS FUNNY !! BUT THINGS CAN BE DONE TO FIND ALONE TIME IT JUST TAKES WORK AND COMPROMISES ON BOTH PTS GOOD LUCK

"Park" out in the garage after the kids have gone to bed. Are you parents retired or still working? If they leave the house for a few hours and the kids are at school or napping for a while then take advantage (even if you have to take a day off work together and meet up)! You'll feel like two high school kids trying not to get caught! Also, take showers together when everyone is asleep. : ) Since you're trying to save money I won't suggest a hotel but it might not be a bad splurge for a weekend if things get too tense and you have instant sitters.

Get your own place....I hope you are really saving because I know how it is when someone calls themselves living with parents to save money for their own home, and the money end up going other places other than the savings.....Be careful, don't let it cause problem with your love life....The only alternative is to get a hotel room, but that is defeating the purpose of saving money....It is just too many in one household.....I am only being realistic....I don't see no other way around it but to get your own place....

Move out. I find most people who move spouse and children in with one's parents "to save money" for their own home really have bigger problems. If you are truly saving for your own home deal with it. lack of privacy and spark should be incentive to work like mad to pack away the money.

make the most of the time when you ARE alone at home.....or get a hotel room for a night on a weekend. Also quiet sex can be incredibly hot...do you at least have your own bedroom??? If not, take it to the living room under a blanket QUIETLY!!!! You'd be amazed at how u can sneak a tryst!!!!!!!!!
