I just went a couple of months ago. September 17 actually. We flew in to Cancun but stayed in Playa Del Carmen, 30 minutes south of Cancun. That seemed like perfect time. The first 2 days there our resort was packed. It was the celebration of Mexican Independence Day. So we really got to meet a lot of the peolpe from Mexico that had come in for the holiday and learn a lot about the culture. Than most left on Sunday afternoon and we had the resort to ourselves it seemed like. We went to Cancun and Cozumel and a lot of people sad that was their "down time". It also cost us about half price to go this time of the year. So, it depends on what your plans are and what you want to do. If you're young and single than this is not the ideal time. :) Good Luck!

I would say when it's cold here , and remember the spring breakers, so probably December through April. The best time to visit depends on if you like it crowded or not and you can get cheaper rates in "off season" times. Check with any travel agent or at any of the .coms; cheap tickets.com, last minute deals.com, orbitz.com, travelocity.com, etc...

Spring Break is the worst time. The best time to go is in early June or late fall.

Any time is good, but avoid Spring Break and hurricane season!
