I wish you had said what kind of iPod; for my iPod video, I copy and paste my .doc's to notepad then save as .txt, then go toi my computer then iPod (this will vary, mine is F:/) then go to the "notes" folder and save the txt there! good luck!

You can use your iPod as a hard drive or flash drive to save your documents. When you plug in your iPod to your computer, make sure on your settings you click on "enable disk use". This will allow your iPod to be used as a storage device as well. Now you can just drop and drag documents to your iPod. I use mine all the time to backup my important documents!
