I just remove the cookies straight from the pan out of the oven...with a spatula onto a plate and then take it from there weather their still hot ro not!

I always put them on a cooling rack. After eating half the dough im never in a hurry for the cookie. If someone else wants one i blow on it before i give it to them, lol. That probably doesnt help but it gives me peace of mind.

pick it up and throw it in the air and do the hot potatoe thing until I can eat it. but never put it back or drop it....so far

i like my cookies warm so i will wait a bit for 'em to cool off. i love choc chip...gooey, melting chocolate! mmmm!
