Like them, saw them twice 25 years ago and my ears are still ringing.

I can see for miles and miles, is a great song. All songs from Tommy are pretty good. Love reign on me, My Generation, Happy Jack, I'm Free, We're not gonna take it, The Kids are alright...

Actually, I love the Who and haven't thought to listen to them in a long time.

So thanks for the reminder!

peter townshend is the reason i ever picked up a guitar. he is my hero. john entwistle was the greatest bassist in history and keith was most of the most amazing drummers ever.
for guitar my fave song is "my generation" live at leeds version 14 minutes of awesomeness
for bass "dreaming from the waist" preferably a live version. they released on the who by numbers reissue. ox went nuts on that song. great bass solo.

my all time favorite who album is "quadophenia" i couldn't have made it through my teen years without this album.

Absolutely - Who are You was the first '45 I ever bought - They just don't "make 'em", bands or music, like that anymore - Ah for the days when it was just good old rock'n roll!

No, they bored the sh*t out of me.

Their career was completely eclipsed by the Beatles and their chosen successor, Badfinger, and their real successors, ELO under Jeff Lynne.

I suppose I can stand to hear, "I can see for miles and miles." They were there. They did some tunes. At least they weren't as sentimental as the Moody Blues.

But that godawful "Tommy" soundtrack --what kind of rock musical was that? I actually cried with boredom watching it before I fell asleep in the middle of it.
