I think aging is a natural process we all experience. How you age is really the question.,....We are as old as we feel and can have a chronological age that does not necessarily represent our mind and body age. Our mental maturity expands, sometimes our views change, life is full of change constantly and to really age is to stop learning and stop being inquisitive. I know some really older people that are young at heart and have good health, a good attitude which is good for you physically, and it all comes together and age is just a number.
Then on the flip side are the negative folks (there's always some of them) and they never have a darn thing going their way, they are never satisfied long with themselves or anyone else....they worry, and feel sorry for how life is treating them and they are in poor health, and age beyond their years. A whole lot has to do with how you view life and "choose" to live it. At least that is my opinion.

It depends on what society you are in. In many societies the elderly are respected and honored members of societies, which gives them a reason to live and prosper. Unfortunately in America, the elderly are seen as "burdens" and hidden in nursing homes. I have made a vow that I will never treat my mother that way. As for myself, I will be 41 and I feel great. I think it is because of my Buddhist teachings and meditation. My children keep me young too. Age is what you make of it and your attitude.

Aging I think is the one sure thing that will prove to you that this does not go on forever. In some ways its better but seeing marks under my eyes and feeling all those bicycles rides in my knees at times. sucks. I miss being a young horn ball constantly lusting after woman the truth is it was more a hassle than it was worth.

I think years ago, there was a great divide between young and old... now today we all just blend together. When I go to a pearl jam concert, I see teenagers and people in their 50's. When I go to a Neil Young concert, I see people from teens to 60's, all chilling out, rocking & drinking in the moments....
I'm 39...I have no fear of getting older.... & I dig people of all ages... 20s, 30s, and yes, even 60s.... it's all good.

On the highest platform. We never age only the body ages. We are not these bodies. We are spirit souls. It is only an illusion to think you are aging you are eternal, always existed and always will. We are just transmigrating from one body to another. It is all temporary and full of misery( birth death old age and disease) If we want to get out of this illusion we have to have the veils of illusion removed which are over our consciousness. The easiest and quickest way to do this is to chant the Maha Mantra the great mantra for deliverance. This delivers one from the material conception of life and puts one on the highest spiritual platform.(actual liberation)
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare for more information go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com/chanting_hare_krishna.htm Its the way to be completely happy and beyond illusion and misery.

I feel it is something we should all accept in a positive
manner. Sure there will be aches, pains etc. but to live life to the fullest is the best one can do. We have known all along we would age, so don't be surprised when it does come. Make life better by changing negative attitudes. Life is just what you make it.

Ay,personally my feelings on aging is that it is a fact of life so people should embrace it and do it gracefully-think of every grey hair or wrinkle as an honour badge much like the boys/girls scout.Aging is a validation of a life lived and earned.peace.Chio!Riz>.

Society views them as disposable.
Advice to everyone: Keep your mind in working order . If you cannot do that then be good to your children because it is they who will choose your nursing care or respite home.

As one who has been doing it for 46 years, I can officially confirm what all younger people suspect:
It sucks.
Seriously. I'm in quite good shape, exercise regularly, eat healthy, and don't look my 46 years according to most people. But those old track and baseball injuries hurt all the time, it takes longer to heal than it used to, I don't have nearly the energy I used to, and hair starts growing in places you never thought it would (like in your ears for crying out loud!). :)
Yep, it absolutely sucks. I'm against it!
