Who wants to be a millionaire..?

So Millionaire is one of my favorite shows, but i've always wondered, are the contestant's phone-a-friends actually at home when they call, or are they at the studio in the back or something. Anyone know for sure?

I've never thought about that. I just assumed they were home, sitting down and answer the phone when it rings. They could be in the back of the studio. Now that you ask, what do you think would happen if the person wasn't home or didn't have phone service....waste of a life line. Sorry, no second chances! LOL

I love Who Wants To Be A Millionaire! I always noticed that they answer on the first ring, but some have access to computers and other people. I think that they are at home and know ahead of time that they might be called. I don't know for sure though. Good luck!

I think that before the show, the constesant gives the phone number of their friend to the studio. So the phone a friend is at their home waiting for the phone call.

The show informs the phone a friend's that they may be called and are home when the contestant calls.

They are at home but they are told what time to expect the call and the show is edited, not live, so you don't see it if it takes them 10 rings to answer or something.

i dont think of it became into cancelled if so i think of the contestant that did it shoulda have been tooken off megan's love existence shouldnt have been placed on carry cuz somebody had sum to do with the homicide yet whilst it became into cancelled perhaps cuz the difficulty that passed off with a physique murdered in the suitcase
