Would you leave a person who you care for if they failed to maintain their physical appearance or failed to keep in shape? If it was an issue would you tell them they need to shape up or ship out? And by this I mean they have degenerated more than what would be considerable aging, not that they are the same they were when you met them...

I am not in this situation, just curious about how people feel about it...

Just get in shape together. She'll see you aren't bearing down on just her and you'll look better also.

You know what to be honest people don't really know until they have that problem.I mean ya u can say I would never leave if my mate got fat.But it all depends on how much u love this person and how much u are willing to fight for the relationship.I mean if someone is getting fat the normal thing to do is start doing excersizes with them and back them up in whatever they are doing. But that takes work and time and people don't want to do that anymore. Relationships take work and it is so much easier to just sign a divorce paper.

Listen, if you love someone you have to love them how they are. I'm sure that you probably have some defects of your own and that person puts up with it. If your partner is gaining weight, then just invite your partner for a walk on the park or the beach and make it a habit. This is fun and it wont hurt anyones feelings. I'm sure you will not appreciate if someone dumped you for that.

Nope. I would just tell them to get in shape for their health. If that person has a problem for the shape your in, I am guessing they are finding the tiniest thing to get you to leave on. Something is fishy here, you should investigate.

How about you are you the same as you were when they met you. You may think that you are but take another look at yourself. You have to learn to accept changes in another person or move on. Was there and love here at all?

If you really love & care about them, you would help them because getting out of shape can be unhealthy.

If a really love this guy i wouldn't leave him even if he gets fat maybe i will help him to go back to his weight. I had a boyfriend for two years we broke up he got married and he got really fat but when i see him i still fell something for him and i hate that. We broke up like four years ago.

i dont like the way this is worded, it sounds like they have become trash to throw out. Why not encourage the partner to get healthy with you together, i wouldnt leave someone for that. No way.

if you truely love this person, then it shouldn't matter what they look like, what should matter is whats inside... if you wanted to, you could encourage them to better their health but the main thing is what is inside that counts, not looks
