I STARTED MY SON ON SECOND FOOD MEATS ABOUT 5 MONTHS BUT HE HAS NEVER LIKED JUST PLAIN MEATS HE WILL ACTUALLY GAG WHEN I TRY TO GIVE THEM TO HIM. BUT BOTH GERBER AND BEECHNUT BOTH MAKE MEATS MIXED WITH FRUITS AND VEGGIES. ALTHOUGH IT SOUNDS PRETTY GROSS TO ME, MY SON LOVES THE CHICKEN AND APPLES

Yes, as long as all the 1st stage meats have been introduced. And as long as all the 2nd stage foods are ones he's already tried you don't have to wait 3 - 5 days between each one. My son is the same age and I also started him on stage two foods at this age. Anyway, I think it is ok to serve stage two meats when you notice you son start to chew his food better. Make sure he doesn't just swallow the food.

my daughter is 4 months old and doesn't eat any solids yet... i didn't think you should start feeding them even cereal until like 5 or 6 months. baby is getting PLENTY to eat just being breastfed Dr's say not to start her on solids till 6 months... to avoid food allergies.

my doctor told me not to put my daughter on meats until she was seven months. you can check with your doctor and see what he/she recommends.
When a baby is exclusively breastfed then that child would be delayed in starting solids. they would start if and when the breast milk is not filling the baby enough.

yeah, my son LOVED the meats- he really didn't like rice cereal and was pretty indifferent on veggies. We quickly went from the little jars of chicken or turkey to the veggies with ham or other blends.
