I find it really hard, I have always been like this.
I kind of feel uncomfortable and think that they'll judge me.

Oh, I have the same problem, ever since I could remember. I guess it's the general thing of wanting to be liked but being afraid of rejection.

You don't have to splurge out absolutely everything about yourself in a first meeting, just smile and be polite (you can never go wrong with a smile) ask general questions like how are you, where are you from, do you have any family, what are your hobbies, what kind of music do you like...etc. and in return answer the person's questions.

You may not relate your deepest darkest secret but you can share general things, no one is going to condemn you for liking a particular band or the colour green.

I've tried it and I think it works out pretty well, the key is to smile a lot ^^ (that way they can't tell if you're freaking out internally)

sure it will be a tad bit uncomfy at first but as conversation progresses, you should naturally ease up and things should flow from there...

Good luck for future endeavours ^^ I'm rootin' for ya!

Sometimes... well thats what being human is right! Sometimes i get so scared before i meet new people, everytime i go to a gymnastics meet and see who i will be with for a couple days when we are training. I get very scared when i get a new trainer for my gymnastics! Or like my first day of high school... i was so scared of all the new students i would be going to school with for four years! But, we all get over it and finally just feel fine meeting new people! :)

I never do because my business is no one elses. I could care less if they judged me. If they do, that's their problem. You should feel the same way.

Always be confident when you meet new people in yourself. Get them to talk. A good listener is a good conversationalist.

yeah. especially at a new school. i always hang out with my old friends, it's hard for me to try to make new friends and going up to them, espically the part when i have to tell them some things about myself.
