In your house, if you find money in the washing machine, who keeps it?

I would say finders keepers however, I house sat for my boss once and I noticed that in their laundry room they had a jar full of change, when I asked his wife about it, she said that its the change she finds in the washer and then when the jar gets full, the family shares it for something to do on family night such as renting video, pizza, movie money etc.

Whoever finds it...although if the money's just loose change and mother's doing the washing, whoever gets to her first gets the money ^^

I do the washing and I return it to whomever it belongs to. I like the idea of accumulating it in a jar though and then using it for the whole family...I might try that from now on.

The poor slave who is doing the work & that's usually me. The rule in my house is that if I find it in the washer or dryer, whatever it is belongs to me...no matter what it is, money included.

Depends on how much it is. If it is less than $5 I do....anything more then I ask around....and I usually put it in a jar for buying soap and softener anyways.
