I took a HPT today and it was an EPT which is the one where you need one plus sign on the left and one negative on the right and if you dont have the plus sign on the left then you are not pregnant well my test came up with the horizontal line and from that line up a partial line is it defective or is there just not enough HCG in my system to pull up a full positive.

i would personally take another test to be sure that way you know but wait to take it in a couple of days that way if you didnt have enough HCG in your system in a couple of days you should have enough them. good luck

Even a faint line, is a line. But, I suggest going to your OB for another test just to be sure. Check out this website for more info about HPT's.

it could be defective....this kinda reminds me of when i worked at a grocery store. this woman brought back two used pregnancy tests she said that one didn't work and the other one was wrong (how did she know it was wrong)......just thought i'd share that with you, maybe it will bring a smile to your face..

i think you need to buy a test that says..you are pregnant or your not..because that way your really sure of the answer
