Endothermic is correct. Think of it this way, if something is exothermic, heat exits the substance and warms up the area around it (resulting in a rise in temperature) :) Endothermic is the opposite.

Fire is an exothermic reaction because it releases energy.
If the temperature decreases, it because the heat is going inside the molecule and therefore the reaction requires energy: which means it is endothermic.

When you say, hold a test tube, that has had something react in it, and it is cold, that means it is drawing heat in. Therefore, that would be endothermic. If you feel heat, it is releasing heat, so that would be exothermic.
