I'm learning to do splits too. I think you overstretched and tore a muscle or ligament. You should rest for some time before starting to stretch again. Do it slowly, dont push yourself too hard. Good luck.

You have probably tore a legament. don't push yourself to much. If you actually did tear a legament you need to lay off of the spiltz for a while so it has time to heal.

You should check with your docter to make sure you don't have an injury. If you don't then ry pushing yourself more each day, even if it hurts.
