human behavior is a complex maze in which ourselves still struggle to understand.

Soceity shapes the human being and the human population.
I believe this answer sums up my beliefs and understandings of human beings for all three questions. It depends on the soceity to make up for these different answers, for humans are different in many different places and cultures (societies) so there is no clear cut line.
I simply agree with the idea that human beings are products of their environments and I believe that is the simplest way I can put that. :)

I think that we think based on several things:
The enviroment we are exposed to
Our genetics
And most importantly, how we direct our thoughts. We can strengthen our mind and values from our own self-drive, and this can make us a better person.
