My guess is it's because the hands holding the
steering wheel are about seventeen years old,
or, the hands holding the steering wheel were
previously holding a large amount of alcohol.

It's because people don't take the time to pay attention to anything around them anymore. We're all trying to rush through life, and driving seems to have become some sort of 'waiting room' to many people. I for one love a road trip, and I always watch the road when I'm the driver.....that's why I like being a passenger ;)
