I live in Wisconsin, and they're dissing the Badger State. It doesn't get as cold as they say it does. Thats only way up north, by Lake Superior.

So whats your point? Cant cows be happy where ever they want to be happy? Leave the cows out of it........its not their fault your state is being kicked to the curb as part of a marketing ploy. I personally could care less where the cows live. Besides, I dont stand at the cooler at the grocery store and contemplate one brand over another b/c their cows may dance more often than the other. Milk is milk. Mooooove over and ask another question!

p.s. I like coooold milk anyway......so if the milk is colder in Wisconsin, rock on!

As a fellow Wisconsinite I am in full agreement, but there is some rational behind it all. California took over the title of the countries largest dairy producer some time ago and as strange as it may sound they are the largest cheese producer as well!

Now his is where they start to mislead everyone as the tallies are done off of TOTAL production. Yup, every single slice of 'American' cheese, all those processed cheeses like Velveeta, heck, even squeeze chez is counted in this fashion. As for 'real' cheese there is no substitute for that produced in Wisconsin and it leads the WORLD in most varieties produced as well as cheeses that qualify to be judged in competition. So in the end it's a quantity vs. quality issue and as any cheese lover can tell you it's all about the taste. Now let's break out in a rousing version of 'On Wisconsin' and put those sun drenched laze-abouts in their proper place!

If you live in the Madison area, go to Brennan's market. There is a sign up in the cheese section which shows that Wisconsin has won so many medals in cheese competitions, and California has zero. It goes on to ask: "Whose cows are happy now?"

Look at at this way. The cows are happy in California because no one wants to eat them them. No one has beef like the midwest. (Native Iowan)

You're talking about The Granola State. Full of fruits, nuts, and fakes. They're not offensive, they suck.
