Read "The Stark Reality of Stretching" by Dr. Steven Stark. The key point is that you should stretch only to the point of first resistance and hold. The muscles will loosen and you can go a bit further. If you stretch every day your flexibility will improve. Don't over stretch unless you want ligament damage, scar tissue and ultimately reduced flexibility. Six days seems very ambitious. Take longer and avoid permanent damage to your joints and ligaments.

im not sure if this will work for u but u can try.
take something hard that is like a few inches above ground level(maybe a book that is more than 100 pages long) then put one foot on it and do the splits as far down as u can and play a song and stay in that split position with your foot on the book until the song is over.then do it with the other foot. after try to do the splits without the book.its should be a lot better if u did it the right way.

I'm assuming you are asking because you are trying out for something and need to be able to do splits. When I first tried out for a dance team, I spent two weeks stretching for splits, but remained about four inches short. (When I was younger I could do all three and hyperextend in the center). I was close, but not there. Miraculously, at try-outs my adrenaline was pumping so much that I was able to do all three splits again. It didn't hurt and I was able to continue to do them from then on....kind of weird, but true! So get as close as you can and you may surprise yourself when the pressure is on to perform.

well, to do a right or left split, I would [after a good stretch warm-up] go as far as I can and with my hands down for safety, bounce lightly for a period of time... after a while, you'll get lower and lower! What really helps is buying leg weights getting agenist a wall laying your back on the floor, and putting your feet up at the wall, letting the weights pull your feet apart for a while and pushing them further when you breath out. You can watch TV upside down while you do this, or lisen to music.
the main thing is there no better then u they have just been working at it for a longer time and differnt bodys unfairly are more flexable then others. with work and devotion it will come

I take dance and NEVER do the splits right away! Stretch properly first. Your muscles will become sore if you dont. You should choose your easier leg to go forward (for example: if you are right handed, your right leg should go in front). It's easier that way. Take my advice...Please!

Sorry to tell you, I don't really think that's possible. Do some stretches, then soak in a hot bath for 15 minutes, and do the same stretches again. Go down as far as you can, and hold it for a few seconds. Good Luck! This site has some good stretches you can try:

If you really want it then you can do it. Warm up well first, jumprope is a good tool. Then use the book technique which has already been mentioned. This is not going to be easy but persistence will pay off.

Don't know if you can do it in 6 days but if you are young & healthy & you start doing the proper stretches I would say you probably could.
