Participating in Yahoo Answers has helped me to develop a thicker skin and realize that I can be very good when interacting with other people. After noticing that I'm doing good with people here, I am able to be more confident when I interact with others in real life. It also feels good to be able to share my thoughts and to learn at the same time.

Oh man, I love Y! Answers! Even though there are so many people wasting time on these forums, I actually find that you can get answers to questions you would otherwise not be able to find the answer to on a search engine or something of that sort. These are real people looking to answers your questions, no matter how dumb either of you are!
Incidentally, before I ask a question on Y! Answers, I like to search through the questions. Unless it is very specific (which at times means no one will be able to answer it anyway) you can usually find a person who had a similar problem and has asked the same question before, so you don't have to wait and hope for people to give you the correct answer.
So yes, it rocks.

I learned that not all Americans approve of the policies of the Bush administration. Many believe the invasion of Iraq was illegal and was the result of the administration lying to the American people.
I did not realize this before I came to Y!A, and I respect those people for their courage in speaking out.
I found a kind man in England who agreed to read and critique my latest novel. He has given me some very helpful feedback.
I'm corresponding with a man in New York who sends me all sorts of video links for my entertainment.

I haven't really asked that many questions on here, but I love answering questions.. I have this love for giving people advice, and a site like this fufills this desire.
When I have asked a question, it really was something that I had already figured out the answer to, but I wanted to reaffirm my decision... and well, through the objective answers of people I found that affirmation

Yahoo answers is great. I get to voice my opinion and get honest answerer's immediately. I am most happy when someone tries to cut down non-white people that white people are always there to defend the underdog. People here are actually very kind, and can trust them with your deepest feelings.

I "met" and became loosely acquainted with two wonderful persons. Other then that I love the cheap entertainment the Religion & Spiritual section gives. That's where Sick Puppy mostly hangs out blathering his sarcastic answers.

Yeah, it has taught me self control & how to express myself in ways that are more easily understood by the average reader. It has also given me a new perception of just how easily humans can jump to the wrong conclusions (myself included)! :o)
