Does Trivial Pursuit count as a board game? My friends and I frequently spend Sunday afternoons in the pub playing Triv - great fun!
I also have Cluedo and Monopoly which tend to come out when I'm hosting on Christmas day.
And as for adults only - I used to quite enjoy Pass Out in my younger days, although I'm too old and sensible for that now. I can't remember any saucy ones.

There is a thriving and growing boardgame community at http://www.boardgamegeek.com (BGG). Board games are a great and affordable means of entertainment that brings friends and familes together. Something that many people don't know is that there are some 500 new games put out every year that are not Monopoly, Uno, Scrabble, or Sorry. Many people's perceptions of board games are skewed by what they see on the shelves at their local Wal-Mart, Target, or other department store, where many of the games are the same games they have been playing for years, retreaded into different themes (e.g. different versions of the aforementioned games)
BGG just finished up a four-day convention in Dallas attended by some 450 people from as far away as England (and perhaps Singapore?). The online community numbers some 50,000+ users, and has more than 25,000 board games in the database (with 1200+ new games and expansions for 2006 alone!)
Board gaming is especially popular in Germany, where the Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) has been given out every year since 1979. Since then, other game awards have come up such as the deutsche Spieler Preis (German Gamer's Prize), the Origins Awards, the International Gamer's Awards, and the newly minted BGG Awards.

As to your second question about ADULTS only, I'm unsure if you mean games that are sexy or games that are more complex and strategic so that they would take an adult's mind to comprehend them.
For the former, there are a number of novelty sexy games for couples (like Foreplay of Between the Sheets) or for groups of adults that deal with adult topics.
For the latter, there are many many games that fall into that category. The top games on BGG read like a laundry list of great strategic games.

WoW: I performed Wow a whilst in the past. it is the known different MMORPGs are measured by potential of. on the different hand it is the least confusing MMROPG at present on the subscription plan. Dungeons and Dragons: The mmog isn't something particular. The pen-and-paper RPG is the RPG all others are measured against (or a minimum of three.5, 4e isn't fairly as frequently occurring). Elder Scrolls: quite often Skyrim, and a sprint Oblivion. in case you are able to cope with being released right into a sandbox international, those video games shouldn't supply you too plenty hassle. shop many times. DC Universe: specific, for basically a sprint. A extra action orientated mmog. I have been given bored of ti tremendously as we talk nonetheless. Lord of the jewelry on line: a very relaxing loose mmog. observe, regardless of the undeniable fact that, there there is so plenty extra locked content then an astounding sort of 'loose' MMORPGs and subscribing for no less than one month is in all probability a competent thought.

See my answer to friends ONLY! Recommendation in Adults Only there. As I didn't get the answer out of thin air its obvious I either still play the adult ones or have in the past! I'd be up all night if I listed the board games I've played or play! Favourite is Othello and Trivial Pursuit!

I'm in college and live in a dorm, and a few nights a week all the girls on my floor get together and play boardgames! They're a blast! We play everything from Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit to SceneIt (almost every edition!). Cranium and Outburst are also fun!

Actually, there is a very much alive and thriving board game movement these days. Tons of new games like Zombies, Bootleggers, Carcassone, and others are released all the time. Check out Avalon Hill, Wizards of the Coast, or Eagle Games or visit your local game and hobby store.

My brother and I used to buy old board games (of all kinds) at flea markets and garage sales and have game nights for some time. But we don't live near each other anymore and don't get to do it now. I wound up with most of the collection, but nobody I know wants to play any of them.

I do. I LOVE scrabble, monopoly, othello and trivial pursuit. Sometimes you can get ADULT board games in ADULT shops. I went to an Ann Summers party and we were playing one afterwards. It was a right laugh.
