I have a BIGGGGG ant colony outside the patio door. I had heard that cornmeal and cheyanne pepper mixed together, sprinkling that around thier area will kill them. Anyone know if this is true?

Quit screwing around and solve the problem once and for all.
Spent 40 bucks and get a bag of Top Choice Fire Ant Control.
This is a contact kill that works on the ants nervous system. It takes about 4 to 6 weeks to take full effect, but it last for an entire year.
Best yet, it is host specific and won't kill all the beneficial insects you want.
Our UNNAMED company charges a minimum price of $195 and we sell this like crazy.
Just put it into your fertilizer spreader and apply at a rate of 3 Lbs per 1000 feet. Make sure and get it into the flower beds.
Be patient and it does work great.

I can tell you a method that will work 100%. Mix sugar and borax at a ratio of 50/50. Sprinkle it around the baseboard if inside your house and your ants will be gone in 2 days. Also it is easy to vaccuum. If outside mix it will water and poor it down the hole.

Never heard about the cornmeal, but I have read that pepper will repel them.

You might just want to buy an ant spike and stick it in the colony (quickly).

The best is Amdrid ant killer... It kills the whole mound. Slow but works great.

The Cyananne pepper thing does not work :(

I sorted mine out by tipping bleach straight down the nest. Gone in 2 days. No sign of them at all.

HEY, do this one. get a package of gelatin jello, dump it out next to the mound, the ants will take it down to the queen, she will eat it, it will expand and finally kill her, when the queen is dead the ants will hit the road
