Do they compete with other more to climb the ladder or hierarchy and don't care who they step on to get there?

No.. I think no matter where good women work (home or an office) they have respect for people around them in general.

A select few do try to climb the ladder by stepping on people, but they don't get far because they only end up offending the people they intend to be promoted over. In the end nobody has respect for them and they end up fading out of the corporate work place because they don't know what true leadership is about.

Successful women respect their fellow colleagues (men & women) and don't take advantage of other people's weaknesses. They have a positive attitude and work hard to get where they are going on their own merrit.

You can't generalize too much really.

I hate to say this but in general being nasty to each other has little to do with climbing the ladder. Most women are just Beeoches to each other .I have been in some low jobs where there was no LADDER or hierarchy and the women were just as bad. Lots of women like to pretend that we are rooting for each other but were not most of the time. As quick as a sister will praise you up she will tear up down. Women are their own worst enemy at times.

Yes, because usually females have to survive in an environment controlled by males. So they try to win favour by bitching and belittling other women, to show they are 'one of the boys'. This behaviour is just proof of how far women have yet to go in terms of equality, and in feminist terms, is the ultimate betrayal of other women. Women should be EQUAL to men, not be coerced into BECOMING men. I once watched a female supervisor in my workplace make her assistant's life a misery because didn't approve of her high heels. Honestly.
In my experience women are very badly behaved in their climb up the ladder, and employ techniques such as bitching (making themselves look better in comparison), slyness that cannot really be complained about such as eye rolling, face pulling, tutting, whispering audibly under breath, excluding socially, ridiculing. It is the behaviour of a person who cannot get where they want to be on merit, basically. Perhaps they recongise this and feel they have to play dirty.
I personally always prefer to work with men, and I feel really sad saying that.

I artwork contained in the field of both adult adult males and females people yet I have found that you're very the finest option about women people co-workers. the issue the following is that the better you flow on the ladder, the further you're shot-down by women people. reason behind this: women everybody is social butterflies; we care about what others say, we care about how we glance to different women people, we praise different women people, and we are also extremely problematical on one yet another. So no count number the way you reduce it, if you're a lady, you'll continually get the more serious and the finest out of your fellow woman co-worker. One solid thanks to save them on your area: Invite them to females nighttime out; activities; and particular activities. this may continually win them over for your area and reduce their "gossip" about you. make confident as hostess, that you by no potential booze-up alongside with them.

Without a doubt! Yet, women are nastier to each other in general; whether in work or not. As the saying goes, "Anyone who thinks women will bring world peace has never worked in an office full of women". ;)

No. I find them nicer and supportive of one another on the whole.
I think people respond to the way you treat them. If you're friendly and thoughtful, they will be too.
