Or even thinks about what they are writing? It was recently reported that British youth are the worst in Europe. Reading the replies to my last question about torture, I'm not surprised. Keep on giving the kids a good example and I'll keep on living outside the UK

Katie G. I'm a British citizen - in fact one of my ancestors survived the Charge of the Light Brigade, so you couldn't keep me out even if you wanted to.
daydoom could be living in the Victorian era, which ended in 1901 - except then we Brits at least had the decency to call 'them' noble SAVAGES. What's more savage than killing over 600.000 innocent people?

Hello. I don't live in the USA. I've only been there once. I arrived the day Jon Lennon was killed. All we are saying, is give peace a chance.
I have absolutely no intention of going back there.
I'm not anti-UK, I just don't understand what's going on.

Fear makes people do crazy things.

We live in very fearful times. Some of it is justified. Some of it is not. Our politicians exploit our fears and use them to gain more power. When people feel that their loved ones are at danger, they tend to want to go to any lengths to do what they believe will protect them. Even if these things will ultimately make the world a less safer place.

Benjamin Franklin once said, "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety."

Long may you continue with that decision to continue living "outside the UK" !!

What about the "human rights" of the children killed in USA schools by American youths armed to the teeth?... and I believe it's not an isolated incident either.

It's a culture I'm happy for you to keep there in USA !!

I accept that there are more weapons being bandied about in UK today than ever before.. I wonder where they got the idea from.. let me see... could it be American films/tv programmes?

Its your choice what you do! Don't think anyone really cares. If you dislike the UK so much, better stay right where you are.Isn't it our human right to express an opinion, just as you are doing? If you object to others opinions, that's your human right, but why ask the questions, if you get "appalled" by the answers.? Sorry, that's your human right, isn't it.
You need to get your facts right! 600,000 people, most of which were slaughtered by their own people! Did they not kidnap over a hundred of them today? Aren't insurgents killing people daily with their evil car bombs? Double standards?????

Jane wow that quite a leap to justify your racist attitudes. I agree with our questioner - where are the good folks? Why would any one have feelings of glee in hearing that a family of Muslims was murdered in their kitchen? Or that Palestinian kids were blown up on their way to school? There is a massive surge toward complete and utter ignorance of all that s good in the world and I don't see that it is limited to the youth of Great Britain, America or sadly even Canada. They are being taught to devalue human life for example if it isn't white and christian, or if it isn't black and Muslim, or if it isn't exactly like they are. Who teaches this filth? Parents? Who taught the parents? Is this a multi-generational issue - racists are made not born. How do we stop this and put people back on the right track?

It all depends on how you measure things and what criteria you use to judge good/bad youths.

Holland has a higher rate of juveniles convicted on serious charges (murder, rape, robbery with violence, etc).

Germany has more reported youth gangs than the UK.

That right you stay out side, that way your no part of the solution and if your here you'd just be part of the problem. In the end its all down to respect of all life not just human and till we teach that to the young we'er going no place good. as it is for years we have removed there Self respect so without that how do you ensure they respect anyone ??

don't lose faith. In the current ruling paradigm of the big lie, it is easy to do so;. There are many of us out there who do believe in human rights, and we are making a comeback in the US. It is difficult to combat the fear and patriotism directed at "enemies" of the state, but it can be done. It takes an alertness and diligence against going back to sleep, as most modern citizens have done, just living out our lives not paying close attention to what is happening on the national level. There are those powerful men who would deprive us all of respect for human rights, as they have no respect for ours, and turn our governments into purveyors of hate and violence, all in the interests of national security. But as Benjamin Franklin said, to give up liberty for security, means you are likely to lose both. We all must champion human rights, for if we lose that, it is a short walk to the trains to Auschwitz. Keep on keep-in on.

I am with you on this. I often wonder what the word morality means when people justify raping and looting a country, making it possible for carnage and murder to propogate on religious grounds, facilitating civil wars and then claiming to have just cause. The world is going mad.. right?

BTW.. have you written to Blair and let him know your views. He is without doubt the worst thing to have happened to the UK in over 100 years.

What kind of responses are you talking about?

Are you sure the "British" youth you are referring to aren't in fact immigrants, radical Muslims?

We already know some "British" nationals who were also Muslim committed mass murder on 9-11.

Leela: there will never be a "right" track: the reason everything was so "right" before was because the world USED to be more homogeneous.-- This is simple cause and effect which is plain for everyone else to see except for lala land living liberals who because of their break from reality, still have the dream of peace and harmony in a "multicultural" world.

Racist? lol..that's all ya got? what a joke.
