Can you advise me on best one to get (I have no knowledge of this at all!). It's for my boyfriend who is old enough to know better, he liked games like Mario and Sonic when he was a youngster, and I'd appreciate advice on what to buy, and good accessories, and a couple of good games. Oh, and if you know where I can get a good deal for one in the UK that would be great! (I dont know how much I should expect to pay)

If it's for your boyfriend,you will wanna get the DS lite in black - a cool man's colour, not doubt will match his other manly gadgets.
The cheapest you can find one these days is for about £95, and Dabs will help you out there.
If you are looking for top quality addictive games, Bomberman is superb. Nintendogs is also good fun, but maybe a little girly for your man. The Nintendo Brain Training game is awesome, and useful too.

Well on amazon.com on the UK edition is says that they are about £100.
They range from all different colors:White, Pink, Black are really hot right now. The games are about on average £25. And you have a pretty good slection there. And then theres lots of accessories but I don't think you would need those "right" away. After you actually get the DS you begin to understand what kinds of those you need/want. That way you won't wast money on things he won't use.

Basically a lot of stores do Christmas deals on these. Check out Game, Game Station, Woolworths, Argos etc and see who is doing the best deal. It might be worth buying a game review magazine to see what games you think he may like and which ones get good marks. Also these usually showcase accessories and review them too.
I am sure he will love whatever you but him as it is from his thoughtful girlfriend!

They are usually around £90 can be more, most places will do deals where you can chose different games try popping into your local GAME store they often have second hand ones or deals also argos have deals on.

I just brought one for my daughter for Christmas, I checked every where and honestly you will not get a better deal than on eBay.
It doesn't matter if you want new or second hand the prices are fantastic.

I just purchased a nintendo ds in black for my son, i got it from amazon for £99.99.
I got him fifa 2007 and super mario, he loves it.
Also check toys r us, they`ve got some good deals.
