There are rumors floating around that the ratings are sinking deeper. CBS Evening News has been 3rd for a long time, but do you think they are going to fire her soon?

Katie knew that CBS lags behind NBC and ABC when she applied for the job. She's not to blame, more people just watch Nightly news and World news. Though I still think she's dumb for leaving the Morning Show

I think CBS will stick with Katie for as long as it takes - because they committed big money to her; plus, the soccer moms haven't made the switch 100% to Katie. Brian Williams and Charles Gibson are competent - so is Katie.

Foreign news networks usually have stunning female anchors - The BBC has one; she's neither cute nor perky. Besides, Katie has done hard news while on the Today Show. She's only been in the anchor seat for 2 months - that's a blip of time. Give her 6-12 months. She's definitely not Connie Chung.

Many CBS shows started off with poor ratings only to rebound. Letterman was the first one - he came from NBC and CBS took a gamble on him. CSI NY started off slow but enjoys Top 10 ratings.

I don't think she will ever make it as an evening news anchor because her strong suit is being cute and perky. This plays well on the morning shows but not where she is at now. The CBS ratings are lower now than they were a year ago.
