Like if you're on Cingular, and you call another person who uses Cingular, is it free no matter how long the call is?

What about Verizon and Sprint?

Hey Melissa,
The fact that Cingular offers free mobile to mobile is only half true. It depends on what plan you have. If you have the Nation 250 with 1000 free NW minutes, then you do NOT have free mobile to mobile. You would have to upgrade to the NAT450 plan w/Rollover, which starts at 39.99/mo.

Verizon I believe does do free in-network, but it may also depend on the plan.

But the fact that you've asked this question and received many different replies shows how confusing some of this can be!

With Cingular, yes. I don't know about Sprint. With Verizon, as long as you have in-calling, then yes mobile to mobile calls are free all the time within the Verizon network.

It depends on which carrier. Verizon does have free in calling. You have to look at all plan details most offer some kind of text deals, picture ect. Also think of who has the better network reception, Cingular has constant drop calls and delayed texts, Verizon has excellent reception even get signals in certain underground area. T- Mobile is decent, but very strict.

Best check information on all plans and see what suits you best.

Ok.... ^^ up there is a little odd... if they advertise it it must be true. It's AGAINST THE LAW, false advertising.... and when they advertise it on a global scale why would they do anything they could get in trouble for??? MILLIONS of people see the commercial

Like "cingularbiatch" said, Cingular is the only carrier that currently offers completely free mobile to mobile calling. I'm sure everyone else will follow in the years to come, but at this point no one else has.

Cingular is the ONLY carrier with totally free mobile to mobile service. Everyone else advertises that they do, but they're lying.

It depends on your calling plan. Most carriers offer free mobile to mobile, depending on your plan, it may be free or it might be able to be added on for a fee. Some providers require you to be on their network for unlimited mobile to mobile.

Alltel offers MyCircle, which allows you to choose 10 numbers you can call unlimited, anytime and it can be any cellphone or landline number.
