I put in the platinum 4 plugs last year and they are using more gas than the ones from the dealer..Any suggestions? (Yes, they are gapped and installed properly)

Personally, I wouldn't run Bosch plugs in a lawn mower. I have seen them take out ignition coils. Put what your car calls for in it. If it is foreign, use NGK. Ford, autolites. Chevy, AC Delco. Chrysler, Champions. You can buy the platinum plugs in all these brands. They may cost more than Bosch platinum, but they are a hell of a lot better for your car.

Platinum plugs last longer, but you should always use recommended ones. The performance claims are pure bogus on those things. It's not likely the plugs causing more gas use.

Hey thoose plugs suck. Autolite Plat. is what I've found to be the best. Bosch uses a wire hence smaller spark.

you don't say what make/model/year of veh. you have, but i'm of the opinion you should put back in it what it's supposed to have. in these days of comuterized systems, they need to operate at full efficiency to get optimum performance and economy. part of that means the proper parts.
