I agree because he awarded people for ignorance instead of intelligence and it has effected us in all ways.
But I feel it is changing now because it has hurt the country and companies so bad, companies are looking for smart people now.

I would argue that customer service started to take a downswing about 4 years ago when it was evident from the top office in the land, right on down, that concern for others went right out the window.
If a customer wasn't spending thousands, why bother? What is the point in satisfying the average Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public? Isn't that what Wal-Mart is for?

Part of the issue is that the environment for business was so negative, a lot of companies moved out of the USA. Why should they stay and pay high taxes, cause the liberals want big business and people who make a lot of money to pay more than their fair share, when they can move to another country, pay less taxes, less salaries, and make a profit??
Yes, the Clinton years were dark for business and don't think affirmative action was the sole cause. Dell, Compaq and lots of companies outsourced to foreign countries to keep their cost down and so they wouldn't have to pay high wages and taxes. That is the primary cause of poor service anywhere.
Most people don't understand, when you tax something, vehicles, groceries, furniture, the manufacturer is going to pass that cost to us, the consumer. When the minimum wage goes up, so does the p rice of a hamburger at Micky D's or Burger King.
Simple economics elude most people.

so bush has nothing to do with price of oil...
but it's clinton's fault that consumer service is bad?
BWAAHAHAHA... HAHAHA...
actually, I would guess that most likely the reason is unemployment rates were so low, and customer service positions are notoriously low paying... they had tons of problems finding decent people to work for low wages... but they would rather have poor service than pay more...
what kind of customer service really has to bother with affirmative action? I doubt it's a problem for 99 percent of customer service jobs? do you think McDonalds really worries about qualifications?

Yes lets blame affirmative action and not lack of accountability for business to provide their customers with more service than disservice.
Take Wachovia Bank for example. I'm sure at least three people who reply to this question will have had problems with them before.
The meanest customer service representatives to my husband and I have always been white and they refuse to refund fees that occurred due to Wachovias own bak errors... oh sure they will give you back the money for THE bank fee they admit was wrong, but never for the fees that incorrect fee they applied caused as a result of their error. Nothing happens to them. They treat their customers who can't afford these kind of mistakes like crap, not only that but they take your money, and nothing happens.
It isnt because these representatives are white, or black, or yellow, or red, or whatever else it is... its just because some companies suck and the level of customer service you receive from the 6 or so representatives you wind up talking to truly represents the level of customer service for the company in general.
Its not affirmative action its something else entirely... Its a lack of consequence for unscrupulous companies that have a lot of money and not much to lose because of it.
