my friends web browsers will load but the page wont ,you cant even "search" to try and download alternate browser ,he has dial up and its only getting 31.2

CANT download because page wont load or do a serach ..so downloading anything to help at this point isnt an option

Most likely your friend has some malware taking up system resources and internet speed. Your best bet would be to download some spyware and virus removal tools on your computer and burn them to a CD then you can place the tools on your friends computer to check for malware.

I had the same problem and it was due to a recent program I had downloaded. Check what has been downloaded and go into control panel, add and remove, and remove the program. It should work
