Okay, my friend Marisa is mad at my other friend Emily. Marisa threatened to kill her and stab her with a knife. But that was only when she got bipolar. SHe doesn't really want to kill or hurt my friend, but she's bipolar so she can't help it. She doesn't even remember telling Emily she was going to stab her! What should I do? Ther both my friends, but I want to keep Emily safe, so someone has to be protecting her every second. Sometimes I hang out with Marisa, and sometimes Emily. Help!!!

Wow you should have watched Oprah today, they dealt with just that!!
You can first help by reading and understanding what Bi-Polar is. Then you can encourage her to get professional help which will help her on how to deal with those feelings.
Also you can help Emily to understand what's going on with your friend and why she can't help her thoughts. But always reassure your friend marisa that you love her and will be her friend no matter what.
Take it from someone who has Bi-Polar!

You need to tell someone that Marisa is acting like this. Maybe she isn't taking her medication properly or maybe her meds need adjusting. Threatening people is not safe behaviour and not something you can deal with.

well i am too bi-polar,,,,,,,,,,,your friend Marisa is probably not going to hurt your other friend,,,,most bi-polar actions happen without thinking,,so if she was going to hurt her she would've never told her,,,,,,,you should read about bi-polar disorder to understand it. AND I believe most young ppl are miss diagnosed,.
