No one likes talking about death, so I don't beleave there are any good song about death. But the best I've ever heard for after death is "Go Rest High On That Mountain". By Vince Gill. I have sang this song for friends that have passed, and when you hear it and if it doesn't send a chill over you, your already dead.

I don't know if this will help cope with the loss of a friend, but one of my new favorite songs is "Into the Dark"....or I will follow you into the dark. I can't remember the name of the band right off top, but the lyrics are just amazing......
