I am in my last year of law school and I am looking for creative (legal) ways to impress employers. I have tried writing letters, reaching out to alumni, showing up to social events firms have, etc. What are some creative ways for impressing employers that's not cheesy and that's practical and works?

Look on the internet to find out what the current staff counselors have done recently. During an interview, ask questions about the cases you have researched.

Of course, you will not want to study cases that the company lost; nor do you want to make them believe that you think you could have done better. Show them that after you get the job.

No sexy clothing please. The prospective employers will not take you serious in fishnet stockings. Wear a dark suit and a cream colored blouse with open collar. Also wear medium high pumps coordinated with your suit. Carry a professional bag with all the paperwork you would possibly need for this kind of meeting. Tone down your make-up, and wear a light sports perfume. Act self assured, and don't beg for a job. Present yourself in such a way that the prospective employer realizes that you would be an asset to their firm.

Well, my opinion is biased (because I am a resume writer) but I would say having a killer resume and cover letter. Can you imagine reviewing resumes all day that look the same? You can get creative and stand out without looking cheesy. Just avoid those MS Word templates. Good luck!

The follow-up call to the person who interviewed is essential. Even if you didn't get the job, call them to thank them for the opportunity to be interviewed by such a prestigious firm, and to keep you in mind when hiring again, maybe even for a different position.

The above answer by RESUMEASAP is correct but you can also make it stand out by putting it on a different coloured paper other than white. I actually put mine on grey paper and it looked great.
I got lots of repsonses from possible employers.

Flash them. It usually works if they are the opposite gender.
