It's Nintendo's next-generation gaming console. It's most prominent feature is the Wiimote, a controller shaped like a remote and has an internal speaker, motion sensing, tilt sensing, and Bluetooth technology. The console takes regular-sized DVD's, and can play DVD's. It is completely backwards-compatible with GameCube discs, controllers, and memory cards. All GameCube accessories will work except accessiories that attach to the bottom of the GameCube (which obviously won't work). The Wii uses Secure Digital (SD) cards for memory cards, which are small. It has 2.4GHz Wi-Fi built-in, which it can use to connect to your wireless network. It has the famous Virtual Console feature, where you can buy older games that were on the NES, the SNES, the N64, the Genesis, and the TurboGrafx-16, and you can buy the games with Wii Points. Wii Points are the currency for online Wii shopping. 100 hundred Wii Points cost approx. $1 US Dollar, so imagine the Wii Points price is the $ price without the decimal. You can view weather on the Wii, and you can enter a virtual world in the Mii channel. The Wii will ship with the game Wii Sports bundled with it, which the first bundle since the NES. Wii Sports has bowling, golf, baseball, and football, and takes full advantage of the revolutionary controller (it's first party). It's MSRP is $249.99 in the US, and will release on November 19, 2006.

It's the new Nintendo system coming out-November 17, 2006. It has good graphics and the controller is a one hand remote. The remote has a motion sensor on it that lets it be used as a tennis racket, a steering wheel, a gun, and other stuff. The Wii system itself is small... about the size of 3 dvd cases stacked together. I think it will be great... it's going on my Christmas list!!!
