I have three children from the ages of 12, 7, and 18 months. Christmas is a big celebration for us. Although besides baking cookies, I've never really did any crafts for Christmas. I think it would be more enjoyable to actually do crafts than always buy ornaments. Does anyone know any crafts ideas that my children would enjoy, or how to make homemade ornaments?

take a pine cone and glue an acorn from an oak tree on the top. It's best if you use the ones that still have the little shell on top. This becomes the halo for the angel. Paint the whole thing white then paint a face on the acorn and glue on some wings that have been cut out of decorative paper. If you want you can also paint them silver or gold and put a cord on them to hang on the tree

Get those big popsicle sticks. Arrange them. Glue on a picture. Put on a string to hold it, or a magnet to the back. It doesn't have to be an ornament, just a gift they make to give loved ones.
