Tomorrow I have an Interview with a large Investment Company, during which they will probably ask, "what can I contribute to the company?" or "what can I bring to the company?" you get the idea. So what do I then say without sounding dumb? I want to sound professional and knowledgeable even though I have never worked in a place like that before.

Excellent Question!!! I'm truly putting this on the watchlist.. because I can't really come with something witty right now... don't take this from me okay? I'm just brainstorming with you: How about saying that given that the company itself has a "sterling" reputation... I look forward to contributing to it with quantitative and community contributions through my enthusiasm, team spirit and hardwork... (cause they like results, eh?)... So in plain terms what you're here for is to deliver results that forwards their company.. after all.. every bit of effort definitely helps! Does this help? I'm still staying tuned to see other answers!! Good luck!

You are one step ahead of them. You know they will ask that, they always do. So set them up. The first chance you get ASK questions such as these:

1.How does this company define success?
2. What is your biggest challenge right now?
3. Assuming I am hired what will a typical day be like for me?
4. What skills will the person you ultimately hire have?

You get the point. Before they ask what you can bring to the job, you'll have gotten your answer...which is what you are good at!

Depending on how you feel the interview is going, and how comfortable you are with humor, tell them that you'll bring bagels on Fridays.

This is a question that comes up often. Study the goals of the company and be ready for them.
