Gene Larkin with the Minnesota Twins. He drove in the winning run in game 7 for the Twins.

I'd go with Eddie Collins, a Columbia grad who won four World Series with the A's and White Sox:

Good answer by the guy below me - Larkin did have that RBI single to win the seventh game in ten innings. I guess I was looking more at career achievement, but Larkin makes sense.

The first guy beat me to it, but I felt it was my duty answering a Lou Gehrig question, as he was my favorite player. This site has every major league baseball player to appear in a game that attended Columbia.

besides the undeniable fact that he's not a baseball participant, previous time NFL HOF QB Sid Luckman. honestly in case you flow to the Athletic center(the position the swimming pool is) at Columbia there is show case a good number of memorabilia from Gehrig and different alums.

Soon as I saw the question, I knew it was Eddie Collins...but Craig beat us to it... wtg Craig, good job!
Basically, any offensive World Series record that was not held by Babe Ruth, was held by Eddie Collins for much of the 20th century.
