besides actually buying it you can remove programs from the start up, resident programs eat up your temporal memory making your computer slower, the more icons you have on your system tray (near the clock in Windows) the less ram you have. In some windows version you can Start->Run: msconfig
which will get you a screen to choose which programs to start when windows loads up, careful though, there may be some that are actually needed. I would create a Restore Point before.

What do u mean by getting more ram??
If you want to increase your size of virutal memory so that your system may run faster..go to "properties" of "My Computer" in that go to "Advanced" Tab in that click on "Settings" under "performance" and in that click on "Change" Under "Virtual Memory" and increase your size by giving more space for that and u can also give in other drives also.. Enjoy..

find out what your comp can handle, and buy it. search ebay for your make, model, and RAM and you'll find someone selling something just for you.
